The Taiwan Fellowship was established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to encourage experts and scholars worldwide to conduct research in Taiwan’s universities or research institutions. 346 experts and scholars from 57 countries have been awarded a Taiwan Fellowship over the past 4 years.
The 2015 Taiwan Fellowship, for research during 2016 will soon be accepting applications.
A. foreign nationals who are professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students at related departments of overseas universities, or are research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad;
B. candidates recommended by ROC (Taiwan) overseas missions with a field of study on Taiwan’s foreign relations or cross-strait relations.

To ensure your application is reviewed in a timely manner, all required parts should be submitted by the deadline. The complete application includes:
1. Application form (online)
2. Resume (including a publication list)
3. Research proposal (three pages total using a standard research format)
4. Recommendation letters (two letters of recommendation required)
