Membership Requirements The forty-two (42) states of the United States, which have established sister states relationships with Taiwan, are the designated members of the Alliance. All eight other non-sister states and Washington, D.C. are eligible for membership in the Alliance. Those organizations and individual citizens interested in supporting the Alliance will have the status of “Associate Members”. A special associate group will consist of U.S. cities that have established sister-city relationships with cities in Taiwan. All associate members/group will receive privileges determined by the Board of Directors with respect to all activities and affairs of the Alliance and other rights granted by the Alliance.
Current member states
include: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri,
Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas and Vermont.
